Possibly re-test: Once an individual has been exposed to an HI virus and its several antigens that individual's body produces anti bodies. After exposure it takes around 2 months for the antibodies to appear. So if the exposure was within two months, the antibody test needs to be repeated. If the antibody test is positive, tests for antigens need to be done, to confirm that the antibody test is not falsely pos.
