Absent periods ?'s: A "year without periods" at age 25 is unusual, but stress (job, heavy exercise, school, emotional) and polycystic ovarian disease can cause cessation of ovulation. See your gyn physician for some hormonal testing and a pelvic ultrasound.

Agree with Dr. B.: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. . If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time.
