See a Gynecologist: To diagnose an anovulatory period a gynecologist might have you do temperature measurements to determine if you show the temperature spike associated with ovulation. If not then you will need a detailed workup to look for the cause and devise a treatment. Possible causes include polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothalamic dysfunction, perimenopause, ovulatory dysfunction, thyroid disorders.
