I was in a car accident in august this year, i hurt my shoulder and did an ultrasound. it showed i have an insubstance tear in my subscapularis.... what does insubstance tear mean?

Maybe intrasubstance: Sounds like when some fibers inside a big rope break on the inside, so one cannot see the torn fibers from the outside of the rope. One website describes it as: interstitial tears, also called intrasubstance tears or intramuscular cysts, can occur within the tendon without the tears reaching the surface of the tendon, meaning one won't see the tears if just looking at the surface of the tendon.
