Orthopedic : I would place more trust in an orthopedist or a specialist in physical medicine/rehabilitation. At 23 the scoliosis should have reached a stable configuration. An orthopedist can decide if any procedures are needed & can supervise any work needed with a physical therapist. Physical medicine specialists, also called physiatrists also manage any mechanical issues related to body form.

It depends...: As Dr. Ferguson says, Orthopedists and Physical Medicine Drs. are specialists who deal with scoliosis. But some chiropractors might help; there are different styles with varying techniques; some practitioners are more skilled than others: I've seen good results with Direct-Non-Force technique. Osteopaths who do osteopathic manipulation may help too.Seek opinions from diff. practitioners to decide.
