Yes if needed: A good pituitary neurosurgeon can probably remove a pituitary cyst through transphenoidal surgery without causing other damage. But is this necessary? Is the cyst really causing a problem? Mri's pick up exquisite detail, and a small pituitary cyst may not be of any concern. Discuss with your endocrinologist.
