I have a vp that i have had for about 15 years. it is for hydrocephalus. i sometimes get extreme pain in my right side that lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. it feels like i am being stabbed. what are the causes?

Shunt: send problems can be multiple. The problems can be from an infection of the skin. There could be issues with the stent itself. Perhaps you are experiencing some degree of obstruction. You should notify your neurologist and a neurosurgeon about your symptoms
