Not usually: Hydrocephalus does not usually cause weight loss. It can cause headaches which may blunt appetite or cause vomiting which can result weight loss.

Hydrocephalus: I am not aware of hydrocephalus typically causing "extreme weight loss" - most patients with treated hydrocephalus have normal feeding patterns.
