Dental Caries: Carious lesions are caused by the decalcification of the enamel matrix. This is due to acid which is secreted by bacteria that are stuck to the tooth surface or between your teeth. Brush and floss correctly, eat healthy, and visit your dentist twice a year for professional cleanings.
