A 18-year-old male asked:
What type of brain scan could be used to measure anterior cingulate cortex activation and connectivity? how is this related to concentration levels/ability?

SPECT or fMRI: You need a test that measures brain function, not structure, and those tests are SPECT scans and Functional MRI's.
We are still learning about how anterior cingulate function affects us but it does play an important role in concentration. Meditation, certain supplements and diet and lifestyle can improve its function. Here is one study about this: https://tinyurl.com/vz44h66
