Unusual: The term itself is applied to a transitional pain/weakness in the growth plate where the upper leg muscles attach during adolescence. That growth plate fuses with the bone when growth stops. There are some that fuse later than others but at a listed age of 33 I think I can say your issue is more likely something else. Location may be the same but you likely injured the site & it is slowly healing
