No, but yes if...: If you are the unluckiest of all people, then yes. Otherwise, it doesn't happen. Think about CT scans, which are multiple x-rays so more radiation. As long as there is a good reason for a scan, CT's are still fine to do. If repeated scans are planned for following a serious illness, a patient can ask his doctor what options there are in order to decrease the total number of scans in his lifetime.
