Diagnostic x-rays: All radiation has some risk. Digital x-rays with proper precautions has minimal risk and the benefits far outweigh the risks. "too much" is more than is required for diagnostic purposes with standard recommendations based upon each patient's needs and situation. Flying in an airplane as well as background radiation also has risks, as does breathing air and eating.
