My daughter has been complaining of chest pain & the doctor examined her & diagnosed pectus excavation. the dint is only mild. she has had a chest x ray. what will be the next cause of action or treatment for her? worried. thanks.

Conditions include : Possible causes include chest wall musculoskeletal pain, an irregular heartbeat, asthma or no specific cause. A virtual HT consult may be helpful to you and your physician. The negative chest image is reassuring and the pectus is probably not related to the pain. More details would be helpful. Apply local heat and try Motrin. If there is shortness of breath,please see the Emergency room.
