Sterile saline : If your local pharmacy/drug store has sterile saline solution - this is the best for cleaning/irrigating wounds. Since the wound was previously closed with stitches it should be clean, other than perhaps blood and dried serum, so you do not need to scrub it clean. Just rinse it with the saline or use warm soap and water and GENTLY rinse then cover with a sterile bandage.
