Needs to see Doctor: A person with "high fever extreme pains" almost always has an infection or some other generalized inflammation (such as an auto-immune flare-up). Some viral infections don't need treatment (but influenza is treated with Tamiflu). Bacterial infections do need evaluation and treatment. If she looks ill and cannot see her primary care doctor, she may be seen at an Emergency Room.
