Get it checked: You may have viral infection causing your symptoms but since it has been 5 days and you still have fever,i suggest you get checked by your doctor as you may have strep throat and may need antibiotics

A cold?: Although the symptoms are compatible with a viral infection, the worsening sore throat is of concern. If it is just a common cold, the nasal symptoms and fever will likely subside by the 10th day but the cough may linger for a few more weeks. On the other hand, you will need to rule out a strep throat (although it is not expected to cause a cough) & thus a doctor's visit is recommended
