Mennigioma: An eight mm meningioma should not be and issue. The term mass effect relates to masses- tumors, bleeds, vascular malformations that cause swelling to the brain. Typically you see on CT a change in the anatomy of the affected side of the head and often the falx which should be midline is tranferred to the left or right.
