What causes swelling above the knee on the thigh? i didnt fall or injury it to my knowledge.. it doesnt hurt.. i just noticed it because it looked bigger after getting outta the shower.. could this be a blood clot? or just something simple?

Adipose tissue: From what you described it may be accumulation of fat which is not unusual for this anatomic site.
