Hmm: Might not be the best approach. There brain remains stimulated while they are reading. You want to clear the mind and allow brain waves to slow.

Options: Reading before bed is very traditional but can lead to late nights trying to finish a book or getting scared by some passages. I rec a set reading time that ends before stating bed time. A good way to wind down the day is to have them (instead or reading, ) keep a journal where they can doodle or write about the best or worst thing that happened to them or write a story , etc. Good luck jp.
