Adenoidectomy: Adenoid surgery is somewhat uncommon for adults. However, you will likely have a mild sore throat from the breathing tube used for general anesthesia. You'll probably have a mild to moderate degree of discomfort, which should easily be taken care of with a mild narcotic like tylenol (acetaminophen) with Codeine or hydrocodone.
