Im 20 years old and im getting my tonsils and possibly adenoids out as well, im sick to my stomach thinking about the surgery not excited at all any tips? and or advice and what to expect also do i have to get the iv in my hand or can i do my arm

Tonsillectomy : This is a very common procedure, you may expect some swelling and a little discomfort, maybe notice your voice is slightly different and occasionally some people experiment bleeding, particularly the first 10 days after the surgery. Other risks that may be more concerning include infection, adverse effects to the anesthesia, etc. but are quite uncommon.
