My 4yr old son has been complaining about a sore tummy since 15 september morning. i have given him hyospasmol, calpol & milk of magnesia to help him go to the loo, however he is still in pain, drinks a lot of water & has no appetite. w/ chapped lips?

Doctor can evaluate: There are many causes of abdominal pains, so a doctor will have to get the whole story and do an exam. How tummy pains are related to any other symptoms is part of the evaluation. Gastritis, heartburn, or other acidity problems causes pain. Liver, gallbladder, constipation, stomach virus, and appendix problems can cause pain. Appendicitis is usually treated with surgery. An exam is helpful.
