A 39-year-old female asked about a 67-year-old female:

Can milk of magnesia make you pee a lot too? i took it one day for consipation. it helped but been peeing more. i had a recent urinalysis which was clear. i did have uti. i did drink quite bit of tea with water too while on mom?

MOM by itself has a negligible effect on urine output. The additional fluid intake in the form of tea/water would trigger more urine output.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. For constipation - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
