Urine test showed enterococcus faecalis infection and sensitive to ampicillin and gentamicin. doctor prescribed me amoxicillin, how come as it wasnt on the list of sensitive antibiotics?

Amox = Amp: Ampicillin and amoxicillin are virtually identical. Ampicillin is used in tests to determine which antibiotics are active against bacteria causing urinary tract infections, but if it is active against your E. fecalis, so is amoxicillin. It will be effective treatment for your UTI.
