I try to heal a vaginal infection caused by enterococcus faecalis.the doctor prescribed ampicillin sulbactam.before that i used vitamin c pessaries for relieving my symptoms.i've read sth in web that it's not a good idea.im so worried it'll worsen it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vitamin C "?'s: Vitamin C has some side effects when used as vaginal suppositories, such as burning, itching, but seems to ease vaginal "yeast" infections. Antibiotic use for bacterial infections can contribute to an increase in yeast (fungal) infections, so there may be some benefits while taking antibiotics in using Vitamin C pessaries.
