Partial Tear: First, I am a primary care and urgent care doctor, not a surgeon or specialist, so all answers will be framed around primary and urgent telemedicine care. For a partial tear of this or any other ligament, the 1st through 20th treatment options are conservative and not surgery. Several weeks of Physical Therapy are required before any discussion of surgery.
