See doctor ASAP: There are several possible causes for this sort of thing, many of them potentially very serious. At age 9, this probably is an intestinal infection, e.g. E. coli (e.g. food borne infections). Contact his doctor ASAP, for sure in the morning. Get care immediately, e.g. urgent care clinic or emergency cepartment, if he has fever, pain is severe, if he is weak or pale, or large amounts of blood.
