Timing: Is critical usually and that is not apparent in the posting. The long plane ride and smoking will make you prone to have blood clots in your legs and possibly lungs and based on actual timing that is something that will have to be ruled in or out right away. Not all symptoms that you mentioned are common in having blood clots and they will need further evaluation, ideally by your primary care.
