No!: Drinking alcohol may further lower your blood pressure & may increase certain side effects of valsartan. Therefore it is not advisable to drink alcohol at anytime while you are taking valsartan. I wish you well with your health!

When I first started morning Valsartan 80mg I took it for a month and it didn't lower my baseline bp (130/80), until I started taking it at bedtime (lowered to 110/70). Back then I didn't know I had sleep apnea. Can you explain why it didn't work?
