Avoid NSAIDS: In general it is recommended that people with gastritis from any cause avoid medications called NSAIDS (ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin), but especially if they are infected with H Pylori. Studies have shown that the risk of peptic ulcer disease is significantly increased in people taking NSAIDS who are infected with H Pylori than in H Pylori negative individuals.
