Take them apart: I would take the wechol in the morning and the Amitriptyline at bedtime - the latter can be very sedating.

I take amitriptyline for functional dyspepsia/IBS, it works well started at 5mg but with each inc it stops working and i am at 20 mg. It makes me SEVERELY tired 24/7. What other tryclics can I ask my doctor about besides nortriptyline? perhaps imip?

Just prescribed elavil (amitriptyline) for IBS and cronic ruq nerve pain. It is to strong even at lowest dose. Can i cut it in half? Only been taking 3 days at bed.
