A member asked:

Prescribed amitriptylene for ibs and welchol (colesevelam) to bind up large volume stools. they don't seem to work well together. when should each be taken?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Take them apart: I would take the wechol in the morning and the Amitriptyline at bedtime - the latter can be very sedating.
