A member asked:

Started with pain in my eye sockets and headache, so assumed it was a sinus infection. fever has been slowly coming down, coming back early morning and late afternoon. been taking augmentin for 7 days now. seems like a viral infection?

Get exam: With persistent fever for 7 days despite antibiotics, you should seek an in person evaluation by a physician for an exam and possible blood tests (such as CBC). You can get eye pain and headache with a sinus infection; however, there are other issues that can cause these symptoms as well ... some common such as allergies; some more rare but dangerous such as abscess. Let a physician examine you.
