How strong are the ligaments in the upper c-spine? pt tested my transverse and alar ligaments amd wondering if this could have caused damage. does it take alot of force to damage these ligaments to cause instability?

The ligaments are: VERY strong and Physical Therapists are TRAINED to avoid damage while examining you! PT evaluations can result in discomfort the next day. Apply Ice, take an OTC pain reliever if necessary. Hope this is helpful! DR Z
