Is it abnormal that my bpm spikes down as low as 36 during sleep in early am hours, but never that low during day? generally stays around 40-60 at night. i average 70 during day, run/hike 3-5 days a week, average shape, 32yo

Probably ok: It isn't too unusual to see the heart rate drop to 40 during sleep. You're a young physically active person and the rates you report don't suggest any abnormality in your heart rhythm.
