I had a bump on the side of my neck several months ago and then noticed a lump that when i rub my neck and shoulder that rolls around. i went to the doctor and she said its nothing to worry about but its still here. why is it still here?

Hematoma or Lipoma?: You may have developed a post traumatic hematoma (small collection of blood) or lipoma (fatty cyst) in the area. Both are benign. Can take months for body to reabsorb hematoma (even small ones). If post traumatic lipoma, again benign, but may not ever go away. Ultrasound can help answer the question of what it is, but would not change the outcome or treatment. Hope this was helpful.
