Checkup: I believe in annual checkups although they fell into disfavor among some physicians. System review and physical examination can uncover problems with blood pressure, weight abnormalities, skin lesions, heart murmurs and routine lab work may show lipid abnormalities that need attention. The checkup, while the patient is healthy, gives the physician a baseline record. The patient can ask questions.
