About fevers...: For minor illnesses like a cold, fever and aches go away by themselves. Most people use drugs like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (ibuprofen) for temporary relief of such symptoms. A doctor can evaluate to give a diagnosis, especially if a person has more than minor, temporary fevers. That said, "a lot of pain" means a trip to see the doctor for an exam, regardless of the location of the pain.
