About : About 10% of children develop fever and fussiness after the infant series' of shots at 2, 4, and 6 months. Typically the fever lasts up to 24-36 hours and the pain and fussiness should resolve in 1 day. That can be treated with acetominophen every 4 hours. Anything beyond that time frame and the baby should be seen again.

Tylenol (acetaminophen): Tylenol (acetaminophen) and a cool compress applied to the injection site will help reduce the reaction. If it is a reaction to her immunizations, then the symptoms should resolve within 24 to 36 hours. If she is not well on day 2 or she develops worsening or persistent symptoms, then she should be seen.
