A member asked:

I would like to know what is the bone / gum height that can be gained with a freeze-dried bone granule graft? when is prefered vs only use gum graft?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Graft: It's a matter of support. If you have lost gum/bone height, replacing gums without bone support is less successful. Along with choosing the correct reparative procedure, reducing all causative factors must be accomplished to prevent recurrence. The degree of sophistication is best provided by a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist. Follow his/her recommendation based on his training/experience.
