Heart rate varies.: Heart rate varies depending on your activity. Even 40 beats per minute while sleeping is normal. If you are laying down and suddenly get up of bed, your heart will speed up to send blood quickly to every part of your body. It should go back to 50-100 once you sit down and relax.
