A member asked:

Is it okay for your heart rate to be 41-42 when sleeping? since june, ive had my apple watch alert me to 3 separate occasions while asleep of low heart rate which is between 41-47 bpm. ive had a 30 day monitor & it just showed sinus tachycardia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low heart rates while sleeping is a common phenomenon. Since you already had an event monitor for 30 days, it’s reassuring that you have no major rhythm problems. If you are obese or snore while sleeping, I would recommend a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.
