Doctor can evaluate: Hopefully, a person is not able to get medication without seeing a doctor, either in-person or via a good online consultation. A person (every person) should have an in-person primary care doctor who can do (or has done) full check-ups every 1-3 years, and knows the person fairly well. One's primary care doctor can be seen both online or in-person, for long-term follow-up during medication use.
