2--30 min daily: About 20-30 minutes daily of brisk walking should be good for your overall well being if you are in good cardiovascular shape. Before you begin such a daily routine please have a full medical exam by a primary care physician & ask that physician if there should be any restrictions to your activities. Also please adhere to good nutrition, get adequate sleep and avoid smoking & too much alcohol!

Not enough: information to even guess. Walking at what pace? Uphill? Level? How much do you weigh and what is your height? What is your daily caloric intake? all of these are factors and you may not lose anything under certain conditions,
