ProbIably no PEP: If the "open wound" was not brand new and freshly bleeding, the risk of catching HIV probably is nil. And the HIV status of the person whose blood was involved is important: if on HIV treatment or if other wise his or her blood level of HIV is low, there probably is no infection risk. You need to see an HIV expert -- do not rely on this or any other online forum. Good luck.
