Tested First: A cut of greater than 24 hr duration has already started to heal, so it may have some barrier to it. In addition, you need to consult an Infectious Disease specialist who may offer better prophylactic advice, the sooner the better. Also, you need to be tested immediately and don't forget sometimes Hepatitis needs to be checked also.
