No/probably: The acid reducer products that are available OTC are lower dose than those used as a prescription. They slow acid production, like turning down the thermostat on your heater. They do not stop it. Many digestive enzymes require an acid environment to work & your body has an endless ability to make enough. OTC dose use long term has few problems.
