A member asked:

Can a nuclear stress test tell you if you have heart failure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart failure: If you're alluding to diagnosing congestive heart failure, nuclear stress testing is not the test of choice but does give a sense of how the heart muscle is working. Better testing would be from taking a history, performing a physical examination, taking a chest xray, checking the blood test called BNP and performing an echocardiogram.
