Have controlled lupus.bouts of fatigue. goes away w/ good rest. rheumatologist said i could have chronic fatigue syndrome as well.can lupus cause this?

Probably not: although the two conditions can occur together, and certainly lupus can cause fatigue. The exact cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is still unknown, so it's hard to say if SLE has a cause and effect. There are a lot of people with SLE that have Chronic Fatigue, but there are more people with CFS that don't have SLE.
