A member asked:

History with h pylori, since been teated twice and negative for it. still after every endoscopy i have "minimal gastritis " but was not mentioned because my main issue is acid reflux. i read the report. does gastritis correlate with acid reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gastritis: Gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining, is different from GERD, but may coexist. The same medications are effective for both. Try avoiding caffeine, alcohol and nicotine(if you smoke) although minimal gastritis is a nebulous diagnosis, in my opinion.
